Issue Position

I am firm believer in the rights guaranteed by our Founding Fathers in the 2nd Amendment but believe equally strong in protecting citizens from violence. We can do more to ensure the safety of our society that does not trample on the rights of law-abiding gun owners. I believe one aspect is to provide community safety training with law enforcement as well as universal background checks, including internet purchases. I also believe in expanding restrictions to those convicted of violence and domestic abuse, not just the current laws limited to only married couples.
